AL7075 CNC Machined Parts Manufacturer in China

Boyang Hardware · Zhongshan, Guangdong · 7075 is a stock production grade here

Direct answer Boyang Hardware manufactures custom CNC machined parts in AL7075 (alongside AL6061, AL6063, AL2024 and AL5052) in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China, to customer drawings or samples. 7075 is chosen when strength-to-weight ratio matters: aerospace fittings, high-load brackets, mould tooling and precision fixtures. Typical tolerances are ±0.02 mm (3-axis milling) and ±0.01 mm (4-axis, 5-axis, turning), with 0.001 mm on critical features via grinding or EDM. Anodising and hard anodising are available, every run is 100% inspected before shipment, and there is no minimum order quantity.

What 7075 aluminium is for

AL7075 (usually specified as 7075-T6) is the high-strength member of the aluminium family. It trades corrosion resistance and weldability for strength, which is why it appears in aerospace structures, high-load machine fixtures, mould and jig tooling, receiver and chassis parts, and any bracket where weight is fixed but load is not. If your part is a low-load enclosure, 6061 will do the job cheaper; if your part fails a 6061 drop test or flexes under clamp load, 7075 is the usual answer.

7075 vs the other aluminium grades we machine

Table 1 — Aluminium grades held for production at Boyang Hardware and when to use each.
Grade Character Choose it when
AL7075 Highest strength of the family; poor weldability Strength-to-weight is critical: aerospace fittings, fixtures, high-load brackets, tooling
AL6061 All-round; good corrosion resistance and weldability General parts, enclosures, brackets where cost matters
AL6063 Extrusion-friendly, fine finish Profiles, heat sinks, cosmetic housings
AL2024 High strength, fatigue performance; low corrosion resistance Aircraft-style structures, fatigue-loaded parts
AL5052 Good formability and corrosion resistance Sheet, chassis, marine-exposed parts

Anodising and surface finish on 7075

Surface treatments available alongside machining: anodising, hard anodising, sand blasting, polishing, heat treatment, zinc plating, chrome plating, powder coating and painting. For 7075 specifically:

Table 2 — Process capability on 7075. Values are typical production capabilities; critical dimensions are confirmed at quotation.
Process Typical tolerance Notes on 7075
3-axis CNC milling ±0.02 mm Machines fast and predictably; watch chip evacuation in deep pockets
4-axis CNC milling ±0.01 mm Multi-face housings in one set-up
5-axis machining ±0.01 mm Contoured, compound-angle geometry
CNC turning ±0.01 mm Bores, threads, grooves
Grinding / wire EDM ±0.005 mm Down to 0.001 mm on marked critical features

7075 machines to the same tolerances as other aluminium grades; the material's strength does not cost you precision, and its stability suits precision fixtures and gauges.

Parts we machine in 7075

Boyang Hardware supplies robotics and industrial automation, aerospace and business jets, medical devices, handheld analysers, commercial refrigeration and consumer electronics. 7075 typically appears there as structural brackets, mounting plates, robot arm components, fixture and jig bodies, and precision housings where 6061 would deflect under load. The same facility machines the mating stainless, brass and titanium components, so mixed-material assemblies can ship inspected as one order.

Honest limits: 7075 is a poor choice for parts that must be welded or that live in salt-spray environments unprotected — 6061 or 5052 will serve better. We do not claim specific aerospace material certs (e.g. to customer-specific specifications) beyond the material certificate supplied with each shipment; state any required material standard at enquiry. See the verification record.

FAQs

Is there a minimum order for 7075 parts?

No fixed minimum. Prototypes and small batches are accepted, from a few dozen pieces upward — see small batch CNC machining.

What documents come with a 7075 shipment?

100% dimensional inspection report against the drawing, material certificate for the heat or lot used, first article inspection record for new parts, and certificates for outsourced finishes — see 100% inspection and reporting.

Can you make 7075 parts from a 3D model only?

Yes, 2D or 3D drawings are both accepted. For parts with critical fits, a 2D drawing marking the critical dimensions is preferred so the tolerance route is planned correctly.
