Corrosion-resistant CNC machined parts for marine and subsea equipment

Marine and subsea applications require 316L stainless, bronze, or aluminium-bronze parts with smooth machining and passivated surfaces to resist seawater corrosion. Boyang machines SS316L valve bodies, pump housings, and instrument enclosures for subsea detection and monitoring equipment.

Boyang supplies corrosion-resistant CNC machined parts for marine and subsea equipment, primarily stainless 316L, aluminium-bronze, and duplex stainless grades. Typical parts include subsea-detection housings, sensor enclosures, pump bodies, and valve manifolds. All stainless parts are passivated per ASTM A967 by default; electropolishing is available by arrangement.

Depth rating: standard passivation and surface finish are suitable for shallow-to-mid subsea applications as agreed with the customer. For deep-water (>1,000 m) housings, pressure rating must be specified by the customer and validated by the system integrator.

What is the recommended material for subsea sensor housings?

Stainless 316L is the default; aluminium-bronze (C95400) for higher strength; duplex 2205 for chloride-rich environments.

Do you passivate stainless parts before shipment?

Yes. Passivation per ASTM A967 is performed by default on stainless 316L and 304 parts unless the customer specifies otherwise.

Can you provide electropolished surfaces?

Yes, by arrangement. Electropolishing is outsourced to a specialist partner; typical lead-time addition is 3–5 days.

What surface finish do you recommend for O-ring sealing faces?

Ra 0.4–0.8 (µm) is typical. The finish is specified by the drawing; Boyang does not unilaterally specify it.

Do you supply pressure-rated housings for deep-water applications?

Boyang supplies the machined housing to the customer’s drawing. Hydrostatic pressure-testing is available by arrangement; pressure-rating acceptance is the integrator’s responsibility.
