CNC machining for aerospace and UAV components

Aerospace and UAV components require aluminium alloy structural parts with documented material certificates and stable machining processes. Boyang machines 7075-T6, 6061-T6, and Ti-6Al-4V parts for UAV airframes, satellite subsystem structures, and ground-support equipment.

Boyang machines aerospace-grade aluminium and titanium parts for non-flight-critical structures, UAV airframes, satellite subsystem brackets, and ground-support equipment. Material certificates (mill certs) are provided by default for full-batch orders. First-article inspection reports follow the customer-supplied template or the standard AS9102 format on request.

Compliance note: Boyang does not hold AS9100 certification. Parts for flight-critical applications (primary structure, flight control, life-safety) are supplied by arrangement only and require the customer’s quality system to govern final airworthiness acceptance.

Typical parts and use cases

Part typeTypical requirement
UAV airframe structural bracketsAluminium 7075-T6 for high strength-to-weight; pocketed to reduce mass; flatness ≤0.05 mm.
Satellite subsystem bracketsAluminium 6061-T6; tapped and dowel-pin features for repeatable assembly.
Antenna mounts and RF bracketsAluminium with low-Ra surfaces (Ra ≤0.8 µm) to support RF gasket contact.
Engine test stand hardwareStainless 316L and titanium for chemical resistance.
Ground-support equipment (GSE)Aluminium and stainless; production volumes typically 5–200 pieces.

Frequently asked questions

Does Boyang hold AS9100 certification?

No. Boyang is ISO 9001:2015 certified. For AS9100 customers, parts are supplied under the customer’s AS9100 quality system; AS9102-format FAIR is available on request.

Can you machine titanium Ti-6Al-4V?

Yes. Titanium is machined on dedicated tooling with reduced cutting parameters to manage work-hardening. Mill certificate (EN 10204 3.1) is provided by default.

Do you provide material certificates with aluminium stock?

Yes, on request. Most aluminium stock arrives from the mill with a 3.1 cert; we attach it to the shipment documentation.

What is the typical flatness on a machined aerospace bracket?

±0.05 mm on a 200–300 mm bracket is typical. Tighter flatness (±0.02 mm) is achievable by arrangement with vacuum fixturing or precision grinding.

Are you able to produce parts marked for traceability?

Yes. Permanent laser marking (part number, batch) is available for aluminium and stainless parts.
